Tutorial Crop Disapeared (Sowing Seed Quest)

The quest line to get the hoe, watering can, trowel and secateurs is broken for me.

The crop I planted and watered disparead before I got a chance to harvest it. That means no Purple Carrot for me and another quest broken: “Cooking up a storm” where a purple carrot is supposed to be given to the old cooking lady

So I don’t know if it is possible to get Purple Carrot Seeds in another way, becasue if not, I will never complete those 2 quests.
