Stuck in building/hardlocked?

I just started playing and it seems I have hardlocked myself in this building from the opening cutscenes. The first quest said to take the teleport pad to enter the dungeon, but it took me to the map previous to this building. Then I walked inside this building which is inescapable. Friend said they got teleported elsewhere so it made me realize something went wrong. Is there a way to escape or am I stuck forever?…
