Halloween Event Is Unfair and Unbalanced

Here's my issue with this Halloween event: How can I have fun and participate when all my tokens are going toward Halloween boxes in the hope of getting lucky like everyone else and winning the cat pet? I'll end up missing out on all the vendor items, and there's a chance I may never get the pet, which would mean all my efforts are essentially going to waste.
