Excavation Investigation

Although I have already completed the quest, I’m unable to turn it in to the NPC(Gideon). There is no question mark or exclamation mark above the NPC’s head, and the quest remains in my quest log.

I did speak to the NPC right after completing the quest, but for some reason, the hand-in didn’t go through at the time, and it has remained like this ever since.
