Economic and event driven circuit breakers to prevent bugs/bots/exploits

Have circuit breakers in case there is a sudden large resource increase, or an event or combination of things happens that should not be possible. Build the economy to track real world dynamics of supply and demand, especially through vendors and resource emissions, which is usually where the loopholes are found in games. Obviously make min-maxing possible and rewarding, but often having β€˜the best’ way to do stuff can result in repetitive gameplay, and/exploits and botters focusing their efforts on a single thing, making it easier for them.
